riotsquad publicity is the working partnership of three of the UK’s leading jazz, world and alternative music publicists, Julie Allison, Kerstan Mackness and Siân Williams.
With a diverse range of interests and skills the riotsquad publicity team, which comprises solely of experienced, senior publicists, offers clients both individual dedicated attention and the collective talents of the team as a whole. Between us we have more than 40 years experience in many aspects of the music business (we’ve worked as radio presenters, journalists, in sales and marketing, as DJ’s, publicists, tour producers and even run labels). Together we provide press and publicity campaigns for a diverse range of projects from album releases and book launches to tours and festivals.
Current clients include Blue Note, Brownswood, Concord, Enja, Nonesuch, Stax, Virgin Records, Music Beyond Mainstream, Atlantic Waves Festival and the BBC Radio 3 Awards For World Music. We have handled press campaigns for some of the world’s most remarkable artists including Brad Mehldau, Vinicus Cantuaria, The Neil Cowley Trio, Pat Metheny, Dhafer Youssef, e.s.t, Diana Krall, Bill Frissell, Wayne Shorter, Lizz Wright, Roberto Fonseca, Tin Hat Trio, Nils Petter Molvaer, Django Bates, Caetano Veloso and Wynton Marsalis. Festivals we have worked on include Wychwood, Heroes And Villains, Atlantic Waves and Patti Smith’s Meltdown.
In addition our sister company riot management manages UK and internationally based artists including the Neil Cowley Trio , Gwyneth Herbert, Claire Martin, Vinicius Cantuaria and Portico Quartet as well as working with Tim Berne, Marcus Miller, Eliane Elias and David Torn.
