Neil Cowley presents Dudley Moore

Neil Cowley presents The Other Side of Dudley Moore

Ronnie Scott’s London

Friday April 24th – Saturday April 25th

In a Ronnie Scott’s exclusive, multiple award-winning composer, pianist and life-long fan, Neil Cowley celebrates the music of his idol, comedian, pianist and film star, Dudley Moore.  With a special trio assembled for the project, Cowley captures the spirit of Dudley through his covers, originals and comedy numbers alongside chat, anecdotes and some special surprises.

In April 2015 we celebrate what would have been the funny man from Dagenham’s 80th birthday.   It’s also been fifty years since the release of Dudley’s most significant (and hippest) jazz recording, The Other Side of Dudley Moore, a recording that introduced Dudley to the world as a tour de force of jazz piano and not just a comedian. For Dudley, playing the piano was his passion, being funny was his job. Like Dudley, Cowley is renowned not just for his talent as a pianist, but for his uniquely British quirky sense of fun that sits at the heart of Cowley’s stunning live performances.  For these four shows over two nights, Cowley presents a heartfelt tribute the music of Dudley Moore.
